As seen on Fox 2 Detroit! Complete the Prospective Student Form to get started with Bottom Line Detroit today!

We are thrilled to announce Bottom Line’s expansion to Detroit, set to launch in summer 2025! With a dedicated mission to support first-generation college students, Bottom Line Detroit will provide resources, guidance and mentorship to help students get in, graduate, and go far in life.

Our Objectives for Detroit

  • Preparing for Summer 2025 Student Enrollment: We’re setting the groundwork to welcome our first group of students to our College Access Program. Advisors will begin partnering with first-generation students through a Summer 2025 bridge program, supporting them in generating lists of schools, completing their FAFSA, and making affordable choices that leave them with as little debt after college as possible. If you're a prospective student interested in learning more, please complete our Prospective Student Form.
  • Building Strong Community Partnerships: We want to complement the work of existing programs like Detroit Promise by exploring opportunities for collaboration with local community organizations, high schools, and colleges to create a robust support network that enhances college access and success for Detroit students.
  • Securing Long-Term Sustainability: We aim to build additional relationships with foundations, corporations, and local stakeholders to ensure the longevity of Bottom Line Detroit. Support from community champions will enable us to provide consistent and effective services as we strive to reach our goals of partnering with 725 Detroit students annually by 2031 with a 95% college enrollment rate and an average student debt of $19,000 after graduation.
  • Recruiting and Training Staff: We’re hiring! Passionate team members trained in Bottom Line’s proven advising model will drive us forward and ensure high-quality support for first-generation students across Detroit.
  • Establishing a Regional Advisory Board: We’re forming a Regional Advisory Board that will spearhead fundraising initiatives and provide strategic guidance, helping us maximize local partnerships and amplify our impact in the Detroit area.
